Dollar House Chinquapin wedding photos of a newly married couple posing for a photo during blue hour just after the sunset on this magic fall Lake Tahoe day. Most couples want sunset photos, which are great but blue hour has just as much magic to it as golden hour. If you're able to plan your day to get both done for your portraits you'll be a happy camper. Honestly most couples have to wait for blue hour on the east shore and certain parts of south and north lake that doesn't get a true sunset. This is the case with Dollar House at Chinquapin. When taking photos here you'll have to get those sunny ones right after the ceremony and then wait until blue hour to take more photos like this one here. This private wedding venue is located just outside of Tahoe City and around the corner from Dollar Point. All of the weddings I've photographed at this private venue have been for people who have owned one of the town homes that are located on the grounds. When ever I get to photograph a wedding day here I'm super excited to return to this special place that very few people have the chance to get married at. The Dollar House itself is an historic building to the local area and is located at the edge of the complex. The wedding festive are held on the back patio area that is located just above the water and has perfect views of the lake. If you have a chance to host your wedding here I would say to do it in a heart beat, as this place is pure North Tahoe magic.
